Project description: Urumqi Olympic Sports Center covers an area of about 480 mu, with a total construction area of about 305,000 square meters, with a total investment of 3.8 billion yuan. It is planned to have stadium (30,000 seats), gymnasium (12,000 seats), natatorium (3,000 seats), comprehensive track and field hall (2,000 seats), national fitness hall, athletes' apartments, sports park, Silk Road platform and other facilities. The center has the functions of park, business and residence.

The newly built Urumqi Olympic Sports Center is a comprehensive venue, based on the national fitness, sports benefit the people, not only can hold international single events, but also can accommodate national comprehensive events, in addition to hold exhibitions and large-scale artistic performances. In December 2021, Urumqi Olympic Sports Center was selected into the list of winners of the 2020-2021 China Construction Engineering Luban Award (National Quality Project).
